ALet's call c the number of cars made and t the number of trucks made.
We know that they can make no more than 200 toys a week. This means that c+t \leq 200
We know that the cars yield a profit of $2 so the money made from cars is 2c and that the profit for trucks is $3 so the profit for trucks is 3t. Adding these gives the profit which must be 500 or more. That is,2c+3t \geq 500
BThey can indeed stay in business. Since they can produce 200 toys, they can produce 100 cars and 100 trucks. 100 cars will yield a profit of (100)(2) = 200. The 100 trucks will yield a profit of (100)(3). Together that is a profit of 200+300=500 which is the minimum needed to stay in business.

Differentiating with respect to time

Basic Power Rule:

  • f(x) = cxⁿ
  • f’(x) = c·nxⁿ⁻¹

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<u />l = 30 \ cm\\w = l\\\frac{dl}{dt} = 2 \ cm/h\\h = 20 \ cm\\\frac{dh}{dt} = 3 \ cm/h<u />

<u />

<u>Step 2: Differentiate</u>

  1. Rewrite [VRP]:                                                                                                 V = l^2h
  2. Differentiate [Basic Power Rule]:                                                                         \frac{dV}{dt} = 2l\frac{dl}{dt} \frac{dh}{dt}

<u>Step 3: Solve for Rate</u>

  1. Substitute:                                                                                                           \frac{dV}{dt} = 2(30 \ cm)(2 \ cm/h)(3 \ cm/h)
  2. Multiply:                                                                                                               \frac{dV}{dt} = 360 \ cm^3/h

Here this tells us that our volume is decreasing (ice melting) at a rate of 360 cm³ per hour.

Help please..............
Alex777 [14]
The answer is rather symbol just combine the like terms! -2X^2 has no like terms for it is the only exponent so cancel out C because it doesn't start with -2X^2. Next we add all variables with X but no exponent so 3X and -5x Add those together to get 3X +-5X which is -2X because the + is cancelled out so ghe equation is 3X-5X which equals -2X so get rid of everything but B. Finally to confirm it is B add all the basic numbers so the five and three to get eight. So (f+g)(x) = -2X^2 -2X + 8. The answer is B. (You guys said it was A so I changed it but now I know I am right.)
