But, here he goes !!

( {x}^{2}  - 10x + 36)

= ( {x}^{2}  - 2(x)(5) +  {(5)}^{2} ) + 11

= (x - 5)^{2}  + 11

✓ So, h = 5 ; k = 11 would make him correct
