Answer:

use (pi*r^2)/2 to find the area of one semi circle, then multiply it by 2 to find the total of both semi circles

the diameter is 3, so the radius is 1.5

approx 7.06858347058

*2

=approx 14.1371669412

+6 (the rest of the blocks)

=20.1371669412

approx = 20.14 =20

Describe how to graph a line given an equation in standard form.
Archy [21]
This is pretty simple. So a standard form equation is probably something like this: 2x+8y=10.
We have to get that equation right there into a slope intercept, which is just isolating the variable y.
2x+8y=16
-2x        -2x       Subtract the x value.
------------------
(8y=16-2x)/8 Divide the whole equation by 8 to isolate the y value.
------------------
y=2-1/4x
------------------
The fraction with the variable x is the slope. In this case, the slope is -1/4, so meaning it goes down one unit and goes right 4.
------------------
The 2 is the y-intercept. (0, 2)

the graph of f(x) shown below has the same shape as the graph of g(x)=x^4 but it is shifted to the right 1 unit what is its equa
klemol [59]
What you must do for this problem is to re-imagine the equation in "vertex form"

Vertex form: y=a(x-h)^{2}  +k
where "h" shifts the graph to the right if "h" is positive" and to the left if "h" is negative. K shifts the graph up and down.

g(x)=a(x-h)^{2} +k
g(x)=1(x-1)^{4} +0
a=1
h=1
k=0

So, your final answer should be: g(x)= (x-1)^{4}

Scott buys candy that costs $7 per kilogram. He will spend at least $35 on candy. What are the possible numbers of kilograms he
slega [8]

Answer:

p ≥ 5

Scott will buy at least 5 kilograms of candy.

Step-by-step explanation:

Inequalities

The candy Scott buys cost $7 per kilogram.

Let's set p=number of kilograms of candy Scott will buy.

The money spent to buy p kilograms of candy is 7p dollars.

The condition states he will spend at least $35 on candies, thus the following inequality is formed:

7p ≥ 35

Dividing by 7:

p ≥ 35/7

Operating:

p ≥ 5

Scott will buy at least 5 kilograms of candy.
