What is the "rule of law" and how did it influence the development of the United States government?

Answer:

The Rule of Law is actually an idea and concept which states that no one is above law. The people who are responsible for governing the country or society, and even those who make the laws, are not above the law. The is is for everyone and everyone is answerable in front of the law.

The United States Government was influenced in a way that all of the institutions, departs, officials, elites, government or private servants, everyone came under the rule of law. Each and every department or entity in a country is accountable to laws.

For example, if a government official is charged with any type of case, he cannot use his authority to dismiss it, rather he would have to answer the allegations and have to prove himself innocent, otherwise he can and he will also be punished under this Rule of Law.
