Since the radius is the same but the height changes, the volume would change by the multiple of the height.
 In this case the volume of the larger cone would be 4 times as large as the smaller cone so you would need 4 small cones

Solve the system by either elimination or substitution
Alex_Xolod [135]
The correct answer is A: x=2 and y=-3. Either method would work, but for example, let's use elimination. If you multiply the second equation by 5, you get: 10x +5y = 5. When you add both equations, you can then cross out both y terms. You are left with one equation that reads: 13x=26. Solving for x gives you 2. You can substitute 2 in for x in either equation and you will receive -3 for your y value.

Katie gives Maggie half of her pencils. Maggie keeps 5 and gives the rest to jamil. Write an expression for the number of pencil
Inga [223]

Answer

Write an expression for the number of pencils Maggie gives to jamil.

To prove

Let us assume that the number of pencils Katie have = x

As given

Katie gives Maggie half of her pencils.

Katie\ gives\ Maggie\ half\ of\ her\ pencils = \frac{1x}{2}

As given

Maggie keeps 5 and gives the rest to jamil.

Thus

Number\ of\ pencils\ Maggie\ gives\ to\ jamil = \frac{1x}{2} - 5

Therefore the expression for the number of pencils Maggie gives to jamil are  \frac{1x}{2} - 5.

Sin 45° = opposite side / hypotenuse

1/2 = 8/h
h = 16

2)6/12 = 1/2
1/2 = sin 45°

6√3/12 = √3/2
√3/2 = cos 30°

Sum of angles of triangle = 180°
The 3rd angle = 180 - (45 + 30) = 180 - 75 = 105°

Angles = 30° , 45° , 105°
