125 minutes, or 2 hours and 5 minutes.

\frac{5}7 = \frac{x}{175}
cross multiply
5*175=7x
875=7x
\frac{875}7=x
125=x

Set up a proportion pages/pages= minutes/ minutes
7/175=5/x
Note: x is the unkown variable or how long it will take him to read a 175 page book.
--Now do the math-- or cross multiply--
7(x)=175(5)
reduce it down
7(x)=875
divide both sides by 7 in order to get variable x alone
x=125
So it will take Jose 125 minutes to read the entire 175 page book.

Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

  1. Equation: 32° + 30° + x° = 180°
  2. Solved: x = 118°

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. 3 angles = 180°
  2. 32° + 30° + x° = 180°
  3. 62° + x = 180°
  4. Subtract 62 from each side, so it now looks like this: x = 118°
  5. So, x is 118°

I hope this helps!

A cone and 2 cylinders are shown below. The volume of the cone is 15 cubic centimeters. Each of the 2 cylinder has the same heig
shutvik [7]

Answer:

90cm^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given:</u>

The volume of a cylinder =15cm^{3}

Height of cone = Height of either cylinder

Radius of cone=Radius of either cylinder

<u>Formula:</u>

Volume of a cone =\pi r^{2}h/3

Volume of a cylinder =\pi r^{2}h

<u>To find: </u>Combined volume of both cylinders.

The volume of a cylinder =15cm^{3}

\pi r^{2}h/3=15cm^{3}

\pi r^{2}h=15 * 3cm^{3}

\pi r^{2}h=45cm^{3}

[As

Height of cone = Height of either cylinder

Radius of cone=Radius of either cylinder<u>]</u>

\pi r^{2}h=45cm^{3}  is the volume of one cylinder.

Combined volume of cylinder = 2* Volume of cylinder = 2*45 =90cm^{3}

Jordan bikes at a speed of 8 2/3 mph. How many miles will he bike in 3 hours and 6 minutes?
Daniel [21]

Jordan will cover 26\frac{13}{15}\ miles in 3 hours and 6 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Speed of Jordan = 8\frac{2}{3}=\frac{26}{3}\ mph

Time = 3 hours and 6 minutes.

Converting minutes into hour.

6 minutes = \frac{6}{60}\ hour = \frac{1}{10}\ hour

Therefore;

Time = 3+\frac{1}{10} = \frac{30+1}{10} = \frac{31}{10}\ hours

Distance = Speed * Time

Distance = \frac{26}{3}*\frac{31}{10}

Distance = \frac{806}{30}=\frac{403}{15}

Distance = 26\frac{13}{15}\ miles

Jordan will cover 26\frac{13}{15}\ miles in 3 hours and 6 minutes.
