D. Mitosis produces two diploid daughter cells, while meiosis produces four haploid daughter cells.

Meiosis is the process of cell division by which involving gametes. Cell division is just the same for sperm and egg cells, but they have distinguishable descriptions and labels in the process. Spermatogenesis is for the males’ sperm cells and oogenesis is the process for females’ egg cells. The cell division of meiosis involves the two phases, respectively meiosis I and meiosis II. Meiosis I like mitosis is the cell division that produces diploid cells. These diploid cells are cells that contain a complete pair of chromosomes which is 46. The result is two diploid cells after the first meiosis. To provide clear explanation, in contrast haploid cells only contain 23 chromosomes and are created after meiosis II which is 4 in number.

Answer:

Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that can later be released to fuel the organisms' activities. This chemical energy is stored in carbohydrate molecules, such as sugars, which are synthesized from carbon dioxide and water, "light", and sunthesis, "putting together". In most cases, oxygen is also released as a waste product. Most plants, most algae, and cyanobacteria perform photosynthesis; such organisms are called photoautotrophs. Photosynthesis is largely responsible for producing and maintaining the oxygen content of the Earth's atmosphere, and supplies most of the energy necessary for life on Earth.

Although photosynthesis is performed differently by different species, the process always begins when energy from light is absorbed by proteins called reaction centres that contain green chlorophyll pigments. In plants, these proteins are held inside organelles called chloroplasts, which are most abundant in leaf cells, while in bacteria they are embedded in the plasma membrane. In these light-dependent reactions, some energy is used to strip electrons from suitable substances, such as water, producing oxygen gas. The hydrogen freed by the splitting of water is used in the creation of two further compounds that serve as short-term stores of energy, enabling its transfer to drive other reactions: these compounds are reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

Hershey and Chase set out to determine what molecule served as the unit of inheritance. They completed a series of experiments i
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

The correct option is D.

Explanation:

In the year 1952, two scientists, Hershey and Chase conducted a series of experiments that helped to establish the fact that DNA is a genetic material. The DNA is located inside the nucleus of living cells in form of chromosomes and its the determinant of traits that are found in living organisms. During protein synthesis, the information in the DNA molecule is encoded into an RNA molecule and this is used in the production of protein, thus, DNA actually directs all the happen in the living cells.

Explain the connection between your body and supernova
svet-max [94.6K]
Well our bodies are made from atoms which are also in supernovas. theoretically atoms make everything so that could be a connection. also, supernovas and bodies all have a time clock, or they were born at one point and will end up dying at one point.
