Answer:

movie ticket = $3 concert = 5$

Step-by-step explanation:

Movie = m Concert = c

2m + 3c = 21

3m + 2c = 19

First find the value of one of the variables by isolating them

3m + 2c = 19

3m = 19 - 2c

m = 19/3 - 2c/3

Input the value for that variable into the other problem

2(19/3 - 2c/3) + 3c = 21

38/3 - 4c/3 + 3c = 21

38/3 + 5c/3 = 21

5c/3 = 21 - 38/3

5c/3 = 63/3 - 38/3

5c/3 = 25/3

5c = 25

c = 5

Now that we've found the actual value for c plug that into any of the 2 problems and solve for m

3m + 2(5) = 19

3m + 10 = 19

3m = 9

m = 3

Movie = 3 Concert = 5

In the parking lot there are 1960 convertibles and 490 minivans, for a total of 2450 cars all together what is the ratio of cars
Sidana [21]

Answer: 5:4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The number of convertibles  = 1960

The number of minivans = 490

Total cars =  2450

The ratio of A to B can also be written as \dfrac{A}{B}.

The ratio of cars to convertibles = \dfrac{\text{Number of cars}}{\text{Number of convertibles}}

=\dfrac{2450}{1960}\\\\=\dfrac{5}{4}\ \ \ \text{[Simplest form]}

Hence, the  ratio of cars to convertibles = 5:4

the ratio of keiths age to Jared's ages 3 to 5 if Keith is 24 years old how old is Jared please show how many you got this answe
pishuonlain [190]
Comment
You need to set up a direct proportion. You have to relate Keith and Jared's ages to the ratio you were given.

Givens
Keith is 24
Keith / Jared = 3/5
J = Jared

Solution
3/5 = 24 / J Cross multiply
3*J = 5 * 24 Combine factors on the right.
3J = 120     Divide by 3
J = 120 / 3
J = 40

Conclusion
Jared is 40 years old.

SOLVE PLEASE THANKSS The perimeter of a rectangle is no more than 556 inches. The length is 150 inches. Write an inequality and
hoa [83]
So perimeter<u><</u>556
permiter=2Legnth+2Width
so perimiter=2(legnth+width)

556/2<u>></u>Legnth+width
228<u>></u>legnth +width
legnth =150
so 228<u>></u>150+width
subtract 150 from both sides
78<u>></u>width
width cand be 78 or less but not 0 or negative

anoth way to do it is 556<u>></u>2(150)+2width
556<u>></u>300+2width
subtract 300 from both sides
256<u>></u>2width
divide both sides by 2
78<u>></u>width
