To check if a fraction can be reduced down to lower terms follow the steps below...

Step 1: Check to see if the numerator and denominator have any factors in common

13: 1,13
20:1,2,4,5,10,20

Step 2: If they have no common factors then that means the fraction can not be reduced any lower but if they do then that means you divide the numerator and denominator by that number but in this case they do not

Answer: 13/20 is the lowest it can go

I hope this helps and if any false information was given in advance I apologize.

13 / 20 =
13 / (22 * 5)
Fraction already reduced (simplified) to lowest terms, gcf (13, 20) = 1, numerator and denominator are coprime numbers (no common prime factors).

Find the distance and midpoint for the points (5,5) and (1,2).
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

midpoint = (3,3.5)

distance = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

midpoint = (x1+X2/2, y2+y2/2)

=(5+1/2, 5+2/2)

=(6/2, 7/2)

=(3, 3.5)

distance= √(x2-x1)^2 -(y2-y1)^2

=√(1-5)^2 -(2-5)^2

= √ 16+9 =√25 =5
