For question a) you can do 2 x 7 sine their are 7 days in a week 2 x 7 = 19 so by the end of each week Carmen has $19. in 10 weeks she will have $20 dollars. if in 10 weeks she has $20 wait if it is time two there can't be 35 try 17 cause that's closes so in 17 she will have $36. Same thing Lilly starts with $10 each week she gets $1 a week so 1 x 7 = 7 and since she started with $ 10 she has $17 Lilly must earn 19 dollars to be equal with Carmen. Hope this helps

A truck hauled 208 cubic feet of sand to a construction site the sand is dumped into a cone shaped pile of 10 feet
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

8.9 feet to the nearest tenth.

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cone is 1/3 π r^2 h  where r = the radius of the base and h = the height.

So we have the equation:

208 = 1/3  π r^2 10

r^2 = 208 / (1/3 *  π * 10)

r^2 =  19.85 sq feet

so r = √19.86

= 4.457 feet.

So the diameter = 2 * 4.457 = 8.914 feet.

The perimeter of a square in which A=36in2
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

24 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the square is 36 in2. The area of square can be represented as side x side or side squared. So, the sides must be 6 inches in length since 6x6 is 36. If one side is 6, 4 sides are 24.

The management of a supermarket wants to adopt a new promotional policy of giving a free gift to every customer who spends more
Vanyuwa [196]
The described situation represents a normal distribution.
For a normally distributed distribution, P(X < x) = P(z < (x - mean) / standard deviation))
P(x > 100) = 1 - P(z =< 100) = 1 - P(z < (100 - 80) / 12.12) = 1 - P(z < 1.6502) = 1 - 0.95055 = 0.04945 = 4.9%

Therefore, the required percentage of the customers expected to get free gifts is 4.9%.
