Chloe, hannah, george.....ratio of 2:3:4....added = 9....meaning chloe gets 2/9 of the total money, hannah gets 3/9 of the total money, and george gets 4/9 of the total money.

so george got 452...
so 4/9 of the total money is 452
4/9x = 452
x = 452 / (4/9)
x = 452 * 9/4
x = 4068/4
x = 1017 <=== total money raised

lets check it...
chloe : 2/9(1017) = 2034/9 = 226
hannah : 3/9(1017) = 3051/9 = 339
george : 4/9(1017) = 4068/9 = 452
for a total of : 226 + 339 + 452 = 1017 (correct)

so ur answer is : $ 1017 total money raised

Chloe, Hannah and George shared the money in the ratio 2:3:4

Let x be the amount shared

Chloe share amount = 2x

Hannah's share amount = 3x

George's share amount = 4x

Given , Georges share is $452

So 4x = 452

Divide by 4 on both sides

x= 113

Chloe share amount = 2x = 2(113)= 226

Hannah's share amount = 3x = 3(113) = 339

Total amount they raised = 226 + 339 + 452 = $1017

Bezzdna [24]

The number of doctors that would be needed for the 35-bed wing is 38.

How many more doctors are needed?

The first step is to determine the number of doctors needed for one bed : 463 / 423

The second step is to multiply the ratio gotten in the first step by the number of beds in the new wing: (463 / 423) x 35 = 38.21 = 38

Answer:

About 900 cans not stamped in 3 hours

Proportions

Sally found that 150 cans were not stamped in the 1/2 hour trial run.

Following the same proportion in time, we can say:

150 cans not stamped in 1/2 hour. Multiplying by 2:

300 cans not stamped in 1 hour. Multiplying by 3:

900 cans not stamped in 3 hours

The cost of a lack has increased by 30% to £65. Work out the original price
Sveta_85 [38]
Cost of lack increased by 30%

new cost of lack will be = 100% + 30% = 130%

We are given that new cost = £65

Thus 130% of original cost = 65

100% of original cost = 65 × 100/130 = £50

Thus original price was £50
