If I am not mistaken, we would need more details to answer your question. What author do you need to talk about? Do you need to pick any work of his or her? Being aware of the writer's purpose when you read helps you evaluate how well the writer has achieved the purpose and decide whether you want to follow where the writer is trying to lead you. The active reader reads more than the words and more than even the ideas: the active reader

reads what the writer is doing. The active reader reconstructs the overall design, both the writer's purpose and the techniques used to realize that purpose.

Which best explains how third person omniscient point of view affects "To Build a Fire"?
Rashid [163]

The third person omniscient point of view affects "To Build a Fire", by Jack London, because It offers insight to the man's transformation from someone who considers himself superior to nature to someone who is humbled by it.

The point of view is a literary technique that the writer uses to tell the story. In this case, it is the third person omniscient point of view. The story is told by an outsider. The narrator uses "the man" or "he" to refer to the protagonist that is confronted with nature in a place that reaches fifty-five degrees below zero. He is a resourceful man but, because of his arrogance, he underestimates the power of nature.
