X+x-24=180
2x-24=180
2x=204
x=102
x-24=the smaller angle
102-24=the smaller angle
78=the smaller angle

Hope this helps :)

A trapezoid is broken into 2 triangles and 1 rectangle. The triangles both have a base of 2 meters and a height of 5 meters. The
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

Part 1) The trapezoid has an area of  20\ m^2

Part 2) The kite has an area of  21\ m^2

Part 3) The area of the trapezoid is less than the area of the kite

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1

Find the area of trapezoid

we know that

The area of trapezoid is equal to the area of two congruent triangles plus the area of a rectangle

so

A=2[\frac{1}{2} (2)(5)]+(2)(5)

A=10+10=20\ m^2

Part 2

Find the area of the kite

we know that

The area of the kite is equal to the area of two congruent triangles

so

A=2[\frac{1}{2} (7)(3)]=21\ m^2

Part 3

Compare the areas

The trapezoid has an area of  20\ m^2

The kite has an area of  21\ m^2

so

20\ m^2< 21\ m^2

therefore

The area of the trapezoid is less than the area of the kite

On a farm there are some cows and some chickens if the animals have a total of 40 heads and 112 legs how many cows are there? ho
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

There are 16 cows and 24 chickens in the farm.

Step-by-step explanation:

A Cow has 4 legs

Chicken has 2 legs.

Lets take there x chickens AND,

there are y number of Cows.

Now we can write two equations for the number of heads and legs.

For the number of heads we can write,

x+y=40 <--------- 1st equation

For the number of legs we can write,

2x+4y=112 <------ 2nd equation

We can now solve the simultaneous equations to find x and y

Multiply 1st equation by 2 and deduct it from 2nd equation to remove x

⇒2x+4y-2*(x+y)=112-80

⇒2x+4y-2x-2y)=112-80

⇒2y=32

⇒y=16

Therefore, there are 16 cows in the farm.

Now we can substitute the y value to the 1st equation and find x value.

x+16=40

x=24

Therefore, there are 24 chickens in the farm.

If A =
jeka57 [31]
A=53/24 and B=32/10

|A| = |53/24| = 53/24
|B| = |32/10| = 32/10
AB = 53/24 * 32/10 = 1,696/240

|A| * |B| = |AB|
|53/24| * |32/10| = |1,696/240|
53/24 * 32/10 = 1,696/240
1,696/240 = 1,696/240
