into a marble jar. When the jar has 100marbles or more, the class has a party. Right now, the jar contains 24 marbles.

Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide 100 by 3 to get the amount of TOTAL times you put marbles in the jar. Then divide 24 by 3. 24 divided by 3 is 8. Subtract 8 from the total amount of times needed to reach 100 marbles. After you have done that step, add one because 100 divided by 3 is 33.333333. Since you cant put a fraction of a marble in the jar, you have to add 1 more marble.

Find the gradient of the line segment between the points (-4,1) and (2,4). Give your answer in its simplest form.
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

<h2>\frac{1}{2}</h2>

Solution,

Let the points be A and B

A(-4 , 1)------>( X1, y1)

B(2,4)---------->( x2, y2)

Now,

Gradient:

\frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

\frac{4 - 1}{2 - ( - 4)}

\frac{3}{2 + 4}

\frac{3}{6}

\frac{1}{2}

Hope this helps...
