<h2>144</h2><h2 />

To do this follow the rule of PEMDAS:

Parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.

First, complete the work inside the parenthesis:

(2 x 6) = 12          (3 x 4) = 12

Now your equation should look like this:

12 x 12

The next step in the rule of PEMDAS is exponents. There are no exponents in this equation so skip over that. Now we move onto multiplication.

Now finish the equation by multiplying the 12's together like so:

12 x 12 =  144

Then ignore the rest of the PEMDAS rule since you have already completed the equation.

Hope this helps you and you can use it for future reference. ^w^

A rectangle has a perimeter of 82. If the width of the rectangle is one less than twice the length , find the width of the recta
Volgvan

Answer:

ans:- 14

Step-by-step explanation:

let length = x

so, width= 2x -1

perimeter= 2(l +b)

82 = 2(x+ 2x-1)

41 = 3x - 1

3x = 42

x = 14

Which students line segments have a midpoint of (-1,4)? Select all that apply A. Student 1 B. Student 2 C. Student 3 D. Student
SashulF [63]

Answer:

C. Student 3

E. Student 5

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The formula to calculate the midpoint between two points is equal to

M(\frac{x1+x2}{2},\frac{y1+y2}{2})

<u><em>Verify the midpoint of each student</em></u>

student 1

we have the endpoints

(-9,0) and (11,-8)

substitute in the formula

M(\frac{-9+11}{2},\frac{0-8}{2})

M(1,-4)

so

The midpoint is not (-1,4)

student 2

we have the endpoints

(-6,-1) and (4,-7)

substitute in the formula

M(\frac{-6+4}{2},\frac{-1-7}{2})

M(-1,-4)

so

The midpoint is not (-1,4)

student 3

we have the endpoints

(-5,2) and (3,6)

substitute in the formula

M(\frac{-5+3}{2},\frac{2+6}{2})

M(-1,4)

so

<u>The midpoint is equal to (-1,4)</u>

student 4

we have the endpoints

(-3,10) and (5,-2)

substitute in the formula

M(\frac{-3+5}{2},\frac{10-2}{2})

M(1,4)

so

The midpoint is not (-1,4)

student 5

we have the endpoints

(0,-3) and (-2,11)

substitute in the formula

M(\frac{0-2}{2},\frac{-3+11}{2})

M(-1,4)

so

<u>The midpoint is equal to (-1,4)</u>

therefore

Student 3 and student 5

A square with one side length is represented by the expression 4(2x+3)+16+8x. Use the properties of operations to write three di
finlep [7]

Answer:

The other sides of the square are

8x+12+16+8x,(8x+8x)+(12+16) and 16x+28

Step-by-step explanation:

Square:

  1. The all sides of a square equal.
  2. The sum of four angles is 360°.
  3. The diagonals bisect each other.
  4. The length of diagonals are equal.

Distributive property:

a(b+c)= ab+ac

Commutative property:

a+b= b+a

Like terms:

Like terms are terms that have the same variables and the power of the variable also same.

Given the length of the side is

=4(2x+3)+16+8x

=4.2x+4.3+16+8x [ Apply distributive property]

=8x+12+16+8x

=(8x+8x)+(12+16)   [ separating like terms]

=16x+28                [Adding like terms]

The other sides of the square are

8x+12+16+8x,(8x+8x)+(12+16) and 16x+28
