Explanation:

A typical food chain will begin with an autotroph and went over numerous heterotrophs till they move to an top predator. Once the energy drifts from the structure it becomes reprocess for upcoming use in additional organisms. Autotrophs get energy and nutrients by connecting to the sunlight through photosynthesis (photoautotrophs) or, more rarely, obtain chemical energy through oxidation (chemoautotrophs) to make organic substances from inorganic ones. Autotrophs do not consume other organisms; they are, however, consumed by heterotrophs.

What structures do sponges possess that may prevent other animals from eating them?
Nitella [24]

The answer is spicules. These sharp-pointed structures are formed from calcium carbonate skeleton of the organisms.  They can also be formed from silica. They can be big (megascleres), or microscopic (microscleres). Also dependent on the number of axis on the spicules, they are classified as monoaxon, triaxon or polyaxon.

Why do plants store their food?
Ierofanga [76]

Explanation:

Storing the food helps them to use it in winter and survive because there is very little sunlight available and so they photosynthesis less. When they have extra food they store it in their seeds and when the seed grows it gets it's food from the plant until the plant is able to photosynthesis and produce its food.
