Currently, no group of permanent immigrants (family-based and employment-based) from a single country can exceed seven percent of the total amount of people immigrating to the United States in a single fiscal year.
The amount of people permanently immigrating into the United States from a single country can be no more than 7% of the total amount of people immigrating in one fiscal year. This is done to make sure that there is a good variety of different home countries.
