"Statewide Insurers receives 1,600 applications per month Currently, there are 160 applications in the Reception area and 240 ap
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

It takes 5 days to process an application.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that number of requests per month would be equal 1600

Now, the applications in hand would be:

160 + 240 = 400

They tell us that everything must be in a number of 20 business days, therefore, the number of applications in one day would be:

1600/20 = 80

Which means that the time needed to finish an application is:

400/80 = 5 days

It takes 5 days to process an application.

Which of the following rational functions is graphed below?
anzhelika [568]

The rational function represented in the given graph is; f(x) = 1/(x - 4)

<h3>How to Interpret Graph of Asymptotes Functions?</h3>

From the given graph , the vertical asymptote is at x = 4

Let's find out the vertical asymptote of each function

To find out vertical asymptote we set the denominator = 0

A) x + 4 = 0

x = -4

This is not correct

B) 4x = 0

x = 0

Not correct

C) Denominator does not have a variable and so is also incorrect

D) x - 4 = 0

x = 4

Thus, this is correct

20. <br> A.find the total area <br> B. Find the volume<br><br> Please explain :)
Debora [2.8K]
Check the first picture below, so the prism looks more or less like so.

now, check the second picture below, a triangular prism, is just 2 triangles and 3 rectangles.

so.. to get the total surface area of it, simply get the area of the rectangles and triangles, add them up, and that's the area of the prism.

the rectangles are just three each of 10x8
and to get the area of an equilateral triangle

\bf \textit{area of an equilateral triangle}\\\\&#10;A=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4}\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;s=\textit{length of a side}\\&#10;----------\\&#10;s=8&#10;\end{cases}\implies A=\cfrac{8^2\sqrt{3}}{4}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\textit{thus the areas added}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;(10\cdot 8)+(10\cdot 8)+(10\cdot 8)+\left(\frac{8^2\sqrt{3}}{4}  \right)

now, to get the volume of it, well, is just the area of a triangular face times the length, thus     \bf volume=V= \cfrac{8^2\sqrt{3}}{4}\cdot 10
