Well they are the same line. Because if you put x=-1 and y=1, 2(-1)+8(1)=6 and that works, now -5(-1)-20(1)=-15 and that also works so they are the same line.

-2+8=6
5-20=-15

Answer:They are the same line

earnstyle [38]

Answer:

9 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly,

Minus $123.10 with $34

123.10-34

= 89.10

(bcuz $34 is the reservation fee)

Secondly,

Divide $89.10 with $9.90 to determine the hours

t = 89.10/9.90

= 9

Last answer = 9 hours

Lee is traveling by train to visit his grandmother. After 1 hour, he has 270 miles left to travel. After 2 hours, he has 180 mil
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

• 90 miles per hour.

,

• 360 miles

Explanation:

After 1 hour, he has 270 miles left to travel.

After 2 hours, he has 180 miles remaining.

To determine the speed of the train, we find the rate of change.

\begin{gathered} \text{Slope},m=\frac{Change\text{ in y-axis}}{Change\text{ in x-axis}} \\ =\frac{270-180}{1-2} \\ =\frac{90}{-1} \\ =-90\text{ miles per hour} \end{gathered}

The speed of the train is 90 miles per hour.

If the train travels 90 miles per hour, and after 1 hour, he has 270 miles to travel:

The distance of the train is:

\begin{gathered} =270+90 \\ =360\text{ miles} \end{gathered}
