<span>This is false. Even in the most developed societies there's still prejudice against people with disabilities, let alone in places that are underdeveloped and uneducated. The prejudice goes from just thinking such things are ugly, as far as to believing that it's god's punishment for something your ancestors did, and there are indeed people who believe this.</span><span />
