In this sequence 1,2, 5,6,7,9,12,15,18,19,27 . The median is 9 . The 1st quartile is 5 while the 3rd quartile is 18. Maximum number is 27 and the minimum number is 1. Therefore the answer is D which is 11.

Order the row {5, 6, 1, 27, 2, 7, 12, 15, 9, 18, 19} from the smallest number to the biggest number:

{1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 15, 18, 19, 27}.

The minimum is 1, the maximum is - 27.

The median is the middle number in this row - 9.

The median of left part {1, 2, 5, 6, 7} is 5 and the median of the right part {12, 15, 18, 19, 27} is 18.

From the option A-D only number 11 is absent (numbers 1, 5 and 9 are part of the five-number summary).

Answer: correct choice is D.

Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

Check the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

a ) let u(1) is the population at a mean rate for the college students who are of the male gender.

u(2) is the population mean for female college students

H0:u(1) = u(2)

Ha:u(1) \neq u(2 )

2 ) using minitab>stat>basic stat>two sample t

we have

Two-Sample T-Test and CI

Sample N Mean StDev SE Mean

1 29 70.50 2.90 0.54

2 30 69.60 3.30 0.60

Difference = μ (1) - μ (2)

Estimate for difference: 0.900

95% CI for difference: (-0.722, 2.522)

T-Test of difference = 0 (vs ≠): T-Value = 1.11 P-Value = 0.271 DF = 57

Both use Pooled StDev = 3.1099

degree of freedom = 57

here p value will be two sided

3 ) using the output

t value = 1.11

p value = 0.271

4 ) since p value is greater than 001 so we will accept the null hypothesis .

we will conclude that average of male and female college basketball players are same

Tatiana [17]

Answer:

e. R′

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Sample Space be a universal set consisting of 3 red and 6 blue cards. Then the event of of getting 4 blue cards will be given

R complement = R` = Universal Set minus Red cards will give blue cards.

a. R OR O

It cannot be this option because we need 4 blue card

b. B AND O

It cannot be this choice as well because 4 is not odd.

c. R OR E

4 is even but we need blue

d. R AND O

Red and odd is again not required

e. R′ = It will give our required result.

f. E′= 4 is even if it is complemented it cannot be obtained and will be left out.
