Answer:

48 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A square and an equilateral triangle have the same perimeter

Each side of the triangle is 4 inches longer than each side of the square.

To find:

What is the perimeter of the square = ?

Solution:

Let side of square be x

Then side of triangle will be x+4

Perimeter of square = Perimeter of equilateral triangle

4\times\ side = 3\times side

4x = 3(x + 4)\\4x = 3x + 12

Subtracting both side by 3x

4x - 3x = 3x - 3x + 12\\x = 12

side of square, x = 12 inches

side of triangle will be x+4, 12 + 4 = 16 inches

Now,  perimeter of the square = 4\times\ side

                                                     = 4\times12 = 48 inches

Therefore, perimeter of the square is 48 inches.

The height at the top of a roller coaster hill is $10$ times the height $h$ of the starting point. The height decreases $100$ fe
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

h = 9 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The height at the top of a roller coaster hill is 10 times the height h feet of the starting point. The height decreases 100 feet from the top to the bottom of the hill. The height at the bottom of the hill is -10 feet.

Therefore, there is a zero elevation point between the starting point at h height and the bottom of the hill which is at - 10 feet from the zero elevation point.

Now, the elevation of the top of the hill from the zero elevation point is (100 - 10) = 90 feet.

Therefore, 10h = 90

⇒ h = 9 feet. (Answer)

Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

5 or more raise the score,

4 or less give it a rest.

9 is in the tenth place. "5 or more raise the score", 9 is more than 5 so you would "raise the score" and the answer would be 1.3. the 2 changes because we are rounding to the nearest tenth.
