It started to form about 800 million years back when the rock sandstone were created under the the surface of the water. Over the years, the earth has experienced much cooler temperature due to the occurrence of ice age events, due to which these rocks were crystallized forming intrusive igneous rock such as granite. This uplifted mountains and volcanoes were covered with ice and over a due course of time, because of the overlying weight, the mountains became flat and all of the ice were melt, thereby forming the table mountains.

Thus, it can be considered that the table mountains are formed after all of the glaciers are melt.
