What might be the consequence of falling birth date in some European contries?
3241004551 [841]
One consequence of falling birth rates is that the society will be getting older (on average) and less people will contibute to taxes, but more people will require pension money - which will be hard on the economy.

This might be connected to an increase in immigration to have more people fill in the positions and a slight cultural shift.

Why did the African Americans settle in present day Washington and not Oregon
erik [133]
The main reason was that they were not welcomed in Oregon, and because of this, they settled in the neighbouring Washington instead.

Oregon had a number of exclusion laws, which among others, directly prohibited black people from settling down in the state (one of the laws was written down into the constitution, which was still valid in 1920s).
