Answer:

The number of Snapple’s sold = 33

The number of monsters sold = 36

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume , the number of Snapple’s sold = m

So, the number of monsters sold = Number of Snapple’s + 3 = m + 3

Now, the cost of 1 Snapple’s = $1.75

So, the cost of m Snapple’s = m x ( cost of 1 Snapple’s) = m x ($1.75)

= 1.75 m

Now, the cost of 1 monster = $2.50

So, the cost of (m +3) monsters = (m + 3 ) x ( cost of 1 monsters)

= (m+3) x ($2.50) = 2.5 m + 7.5

So, total cost of ( m Snapple’s + (m +3) monsters) = 1.75 m + 2.5 m + 7.5

= 4.25 m + 7.5

Also, the total revenue generated = $147.75

⇒ 4.25 m + 7.5 = $147.75

or, 4.25 m = 147.75 - 7.5 = 140.25

so, m = 140.25/4.25 = 33

Hence, the number of Snapple’s sold = m = 33

And, the number of monsters sold = m + 3 = 33 + 3 = 36

Write (8a^-3)^-4/3 in simplest form.

Please show your work!
german

Answer:

(a/2) ^4 or a^4/16

Step-by-step explanation:

(8a^-3)^-4/3

split into two parts

8^ -4/3 * (a^-3)^-4/3

using the power to the power rule we can multiply the exponents

8^(-4/3) *a^(-3*-4/3)

8^ (-4/3) * a^(4)

replace 8 with 2^3

(2^3)^(-4/3) * a^(4)

using the power to the power rule we can multiply the exponents

2^(3*-4/3) * a^(4)

2 ^ (-4) * a^4

the negative exponent means it goes in the denominator if it is in the numerator

a^4/2^4

make a fraction

(a/2) ^4

or a^2/16
