Ken has made a selection of square jam sandwiches for a party, which he arranges in a single layer on the table in a perfect rec

tangle. Sarah has brought along the same number of square peanut butter sandwiches, which she puts out, also as a single layer, to form a border (one sandwich wide) around Ken’s rectangle. Given that all of the sandwiches are the same size and they are all used, how many sandwiches could each person possible have made?

Each person possibly have made 24 or 30 sandwiches.

Explanation

Lets assume, there are 'm' number of sandwiches across the length and 'n' number of sandwiches across the width of rectangle.

So, the number of sandwiches for Ken = m*n

Now Sarah is making the border of the rectangle using same size sandwiches.

So, the number of sandwiches for Sarah = m+n+m+n +4 = 2m+2n+4 (As there will be 4 extra sandwiches at four corner of the border)

The question says that both Ken and Sarah is using same number of sandwiches. So, 2m+2n+4 = m*n

This equation will be only satisfied if the values of 'm' and 'n' are either 6 and 4 or 10 and 3

If m=6 and n=4 , then each person have made (6×4)= 24 sandwiches

and if m=10 and n=3 , then each person have made (10×3)= 30 sandwiches

The replica of the Empire State Building with its antenna spire in Las Vegas is
postnew [5]

Answer: \frac{485}{ 1,454}

Step-by-step explanation:

For this exercuse you need to analize the information provided. You know that:

1) The height of the replica of the Empire State Building with its antenna spire in Las Vegas is 485 feet.

2) The height of the real Empire State building is 1,454 feet.

Finally, in order to find the ratio of height of the replica to the height of the real Empire State building, its necessary to divide the height of the replica of the Empire State Building by the height of the real Empire State building.

Therefore, trough this procedure you get that the ratio of height of the replica to the height of the real Empire State building is:

 ratio=\frac{heigth_{ replica}}{heigth_{real}}=\frac{485}{ 1,454}

(This fraction cannot be reduced)

What’s the value of x?
lozanna [386]

x=13 because you put all of them in an equation and set them equal to 180 bc that is how many degrees are in a triangle so it would be 6x+19+5x-15+3x-6=180 and then you solve the equation so it would be 14x-2=180 then you would add to to both side which would cancel out on the left and make 182 on the right then divide 182 by 14 and you get 13.

I need help with geometry
masya89 [10]

Answer:

N, M, P

Step-by-step explanation:

The smallest angle is opposite the shortest side

The largest angle is opposite the longest side

Thus

∠ N is opposite the shortest side MP = 10

∠ P is opposite the longest side MN = 18

From smallest to largest, then

∠ N, ∠ M, ∠ P
