Answer: Nora is using maintainance rehearsal whereas Miles is using elaborative rehearsal

Explanation:

These are two kinds of memory:

1) Maintainance rehearsal

maintainance rehearsal is when we store the information in our short term memory by continuously saying or repeating that information. For example if we are to recall a cellphone number so that we can make a call and we come into contact with that number for the first time , in order to memorise it we will repeats these digits until they are stored in our short term memory.

2) Elaborative rehearsal

Elaborative rehearsal is the memory in which we transform the thoughts in our short term memory into long term memory by this we are able to link the new information to the preexisting information.

A person uses the information that they already know which is stored in the long term memory and relate it to the new information which is stored in the short term memory.

Answer:

Nora is using maintenance rehearsal and Miles is using elaborative rehearsal to learn the terms.

Explanation:

Maintenance rehearsal is a type of role played in order to keep information in the memory. It consists of repeating a certain piece of information over and over again until it is stored in the memory. As it is not connected to any other piece of information, the data is usually stored only in the short term memory.

Elaborative rehearsal helps us as well to remember information but, in this case, we do not only repeat it more than once in order to store the data. We find what the piece of information means, relate it to other words, search diagrams or pictures of it, so as much information we can gather of it a better understanding we will have. This is the type of information that is likely to remain stored in the long term memory.

Neuromarketing.

Explanation:

Like it's name implies, neuromarketing is the branch of marketing whose task is to study the costumers' cognitive responses to marketing stimuli. Like the exercise exemplifies: using neuromarketing, Frito-Lay discovered that shiny potato chip bags invoked feelings of guilt. Therefore, they switched its packaging to matte bags in order to make sales grow, which was the right call.
