If the inequality symbol, is an x or equal to symbol, the dot will be closed.

Pick the number and put it at the center and then label the rest on the number line.

If the variable is on the left side of the inequality, you can use whichever way the "arrow" (the inequality symbol) is pointing to shade.

If it is w ≥ 0, then you would graph on the number line 0 and make the dot filled in, and graph in the direction going right (>)

Answer:

3. closed circle on 0 and shading to the right ( w is any # greater than 0)

4. closed circle on -4 and shading to the left ( b is any # less than -4)

5. open circle on 1.5 and shading to left ( a is any # less than 1.5)

Ex.

0 < 1.5, or -2 <0

Just use any # on where its shaded

Subtract the equations.
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

0x+2y=22

Step-by-step explanation:

Set them equal to each other, (5x+4y=25)-(5x+2y=3). Distribute the negative into the right equation, (5x+4y=25)(-5x-2y=-3). Then combine like terms to get your answer.

Which value of m will create a system of parallel lines with no solution?
Pepsi [2]
Rearranging y = 8x -4y = 12 in the y = mx + b form gives y = 2x - 3

y = 2x - 3

y = mx - 6 (already in y = mx + b form)

--------------

Parallel lines have the same slope.

m = 2

Note that the two lines have the different y-intercepts and are not the same line.
