Easy peasy!
By the time you hear the word times like "eight times" in the problem, you should know that you need to do some multiplying.

What you do is:
1/4 x 8/1 (multiply across; ex: numerator x numerator; deominator x deominator)
By the time you multiply that you get 8/4
Then SIMPLIFY- by dividing 8 by 4 that gets you 2
