Take 3.49 and multiply by.1 (3.49 x .1) then you subtract the answer from 3.49 (3.49 - answer = discounted price) it'll come out as a whole number and the decimal in the thousandths place (ex: 0.001). just round to the nearest hundredth (ex: 0.01). don't forget to add the dollar sign ($).
