Yes, because if you divide 4 and 3 by 2, you get 2 and 1.5

Hi there!

In order for the ratio to be the same, the transformations between the initial pancake recipe and the second recipe need to be the same from flour to flour and from milk to milk.

4 cups of flour was divided by 2 in order to become 2 cups of flour in the second recipe.

3 cups of milk was divided by 2 in order to become 1.5 cups of milk in the second recipe.

Since both milk and flour mesures went throug the same transformation (divided by 2) from recipe one to recipe two, you can then say that the ration is the same.

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

A. The number of fabric-pattern-color combinations is 4 * 13 * 9 = 468

B. P(1st choice) = no of novels / total books = 3/6 = 1/2
    P(2nd choice) = no of remaining novels/ total remaining books = 2/5
    P(both novels) = 1/2 * 2/5 = 1/5          (without replacement assumed)

C. P(1st choice) = no of biographies / total books = 2/6 = 1/3
    P(2nd choice) = no of remaining biographies/ total remaining books =        1/5
    P(both biographies) = 1/3 * 1/5 = 1/15          (without replacement                assumed)

D. P(1st choice) = no of history books / total books = 1/6
    P(2nd choice) = no of novels/ total remaining books = 3/5
    P(a history, then a novel) = 1/6 * 3/5 = 1/10          (without replacement assumed)

Two triangles are similar if and only if all corresponding angles are equal (congruence), even if the corresponding sides are equal or not, therefore the answer is true because ΔJKL and ΔRST are similar and the statement above demands that "it must be", namely, this is a sufficient condition.

Write an equation of the line that passes through 3,1 and 0,10
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:y = -3x + 10

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an equation of a line that passes through two points, we have to first find the slope between the two equation. We can do this by using the slope formula:

where (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) are the two points that we are finding the slope between.

Lets make (x₁, y₁) equal to (0, 10) and (x₂, y₂) equal to (3, 1). Now we plug them into the slope formula:

So the slope between the two points is -3.

From here, I would normally take one of the points given to us and plug in the point and slope into the point-slope form of a line and then simplify until we get it in slope-intercept form. But if you look carefully, the y-intercept is given to us as the point (0, 10). So we now know that the y-intercept of the line is 10. We can now take the y-intercept and the slope and plug it into the slope-intercept form of a line to get out equation:

y = mx + b

plug in -3 for m (the slope) and 10 for b (the y-intercept)

y = -3x + 10

So now we have our equation.

I hope you find my answer and explanation helpful. Happy studying. :)

jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

With respect to the reference angle, one leg is the adjacent leg, or the leg right next to the reference angle; and the other leg is the opposite leg, or the leg on the opposite side of the triangle. If two triangles are similar, the ratios of corresponding sides are equal.
