What you're going to do is find 1% of what you paid for:

This is done by moving the decimal place to the left two, or dividing the number by 100.

56.53/100
0.5653

You will then get:
0.5653

That is how much 1% of your meal costs, but we're looking for 17%. So to get 17% we will mutiply that by 17.

.5653 * 17 = 9.62

Now, this number is how much the TIP only will be. Next step is to add this to the number of how much your initial meal costed.

56.53 + 9.62 = $66. 15

Total cost = $66.15

What you do is just multiply $56.53 by 1.17. That represents 117% (100% for the meal and 17% for the tip).
Hope that helps! You should get $66.1401, but since you cant have a hundredth of a penny, its just $66.14. :)

Using the segment addition postulate, which is true? What is the measure of AngleDCF? Three lines extend from point C. The space
Flura [38]

Answer:

129

Step-by-step explanation:

If three lines CD, CE and CF extend from point C, then the following addition postulate is true;

<DCE + <ECF = <DCF

If the space between line C D and C E is 75 degrees, then <DCE = 75

If the space between lines C E and C F is 54, then <ECF = 54.

Substitute the given values into the expression above will give;

<DCF =<DCE + <ECF

<DCF = 75+54

<DCF = 129

Hence the measure of <DCF is 129°

Find the area of the polygon.
svetlana [45]
This is a trapezoid and the trapezoid formula is b1 plus b2/ 2 times height.

17 plus 5 is 22. Divided by 2 is 11.

Now, we have to multiply 11 by the height : 5.

11 times 5 is 55 and that is your area. 55 units squared.

What are the numbers???
Romashka [77]

Answer:

In: 5, 4, 2, 3, 1, and 10.

Out: 40, 32, 16, 24, 8, and 80

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step you should do is to take notice of the pairs that have their "in" and "out" both answered.

The second step is to find out what you must multiply the "in" by to get the "out". In this answer, you must multiply the "in" by 8 to get the "out".

The third step is to do the same thing for all of the values until the chart is completely filled with values.

The fourth step is to check your work!
