This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is as follows:

When 4-year-old Katherine throws a beanbag, her dad comments, “You stood still as you were throwing. Now try taking a step toward me as you throw.” Assuming Katherine’s dad regularly gives this sort of feedback, Katherine is likely to experience __________.

A) low levels of shame and pride and less persistence on difficult tasks

B) extreme pride after a success and extreme shame after a failure

C) no pride after a success and no shame after a failure

D) moderate levels of shame and pride and greater persistence on difficult tasks

Answer:

D) moderate levels of shame and pride and greater persistence on difficult tasks

Explanation:

A child's self-evaluative reaction depends on the quality of adult's feedback. When parents focus, for instance, on the worth of the performance, or the worth of the child, with comments such as "You are not a good boy," children become more self-conscious. They feel greater shame when they fail, and greater pride when they succeed. On the other hand, when parents' feedback focuses on how to improve performance, children's levels of shame and pride are more adaptive, and they show persistence on difficult tasks. Katherine's father's feedback is focused on improving her performance. Therefore, the best answer is letter D) moderate levels of shame and pride and greater persistence on difficult tasks.

What could you do to further develop your ethical understanding capability?
Y_Kistochka [10]

Personal values are important as they are an uncompromising moral compass that a person must have.

Explanation:

Uncompromising values in the face of increasingly hard ethical choices is something that is troubling to many people who find themselves in the middle of situations that require high levels of ethical understanding

At that time, It is easier to have a well defined personal value system and to know what you believe in as a person to stand your ground for the things you believe should happen.

By being clear about your current stance you can have more clarity where the others stances are coming from and where you could be wrong too.

Agata [3.3K]
In Europe, most revolutionary conflicts attempted to eliminate the monarchy and to remove the influence of religion. This is because these two institutions were seen as having too much power and controlled all the different parts of public and private life. These institutions were also very corrupt and hypocritical.
