The Luftwaffe attacked ground targets from the air

The Blitzkrieg is started by the luftwaffe bombing its target from the air to weaken defenses, followed by fast moving tanks to clear large obstacles on the ground, which is then followed by the ground troops to clean up any remaining enemies, at a fast pace to which helped Nazi Germany have mainland Europe under its grip in 1940-1941, focusings its sights on Great Britain afterward.

Answer: The Luftwaffe attacked ground targets from the air.

During WW2 Germany conqured much of the land surrounding it using the strategy known as the Blitzkrieg. This strategy involved shocking Germany's enemies with fierce and fast attacks. To start they would fly planes at high altitudes armed with bombs. These planes then would "Scream" as they divebombed the enemy troops and positions just a little ways ahead of Germanies Panzer divison. While these two groups would attack the enemies main line the infantries job was just to simply clean up any resistance left behind. This tactic worked for a decent part of the war, but roughly half-way through the fuel supplies began to run low and the tanks would just simply stall. The last time this tactic was used was againist the Soviet Union. Despite the continuing war with Great Britain, German forces invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941. At first, the German Blitzkrieg seemed to succeed. Soviet forces were driven back more than 600 miles to the gates of Moscow, with staggering losses. However the Soviet Union launched a counteroffensive in November 1942, trapping and destroying an entire German army at Stalingrad.

Which of the following best describes the Allied strategy in the Pacific?
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

D.) Progressing toward Japan by attempting to take military control of Pacific Islands

Explanation:

The Allied pacific campaign was mainly focused on beating back the IJN and army from their territories in the Pacific, and most of the fighting took place on key islands to dislodge the Japanese forces and shrink their territory and access to resources. A  big reason that Imperial Japan conquered so much pacific territory was to get access to critical resources like oil, which before the war had largely been imported from places like America. Thus, starving the Empire of their resource base would severely-hamper the Axis war effort.

Island hopping was a popular strategy that the Allies used to save time and resources by only targeting certain islands and setting up bases on others to pin down more-fortified Japanese bases without having to dedicate forces to them, so the Allied fleet could move closer to Japan faster.
