Answer: B) \frac{2}{x}

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

  \frac{x^{2}+8x}{3x^{2}+3x} - \frac{x^{2}+2x-6}{3x^{2}+3x}

= \frac{x^{2}+8x- x^{2}-2x+6}{3x^{2}+3x}

= \frac{6x+6}{3x^{2}+3x}

= \frac{6(x+1)}{3x(x+1)}

= \frac{6}{3x}

= \frac{2}{x}

If the sales tax in your city is 11.4%, and an item costs $160 before tax, how much tax would you pay on that item? Round to the
Oksana_A [137]
First we calculate the tax on the item:
11.4%($160) = 11.4(160)/100 = 18.24
hence the tax for the item is $18.24
The total price for the item would be:
160 + 18.24 = 178.24
hence the total price for the item including tax is:

a trapezoid with base measure of 23 km and 29km an area of 390km . find the height of the trapezoid.
cupoosta [38]
Hello!

To find the area of a trapezoid you use the equation

A =  \frac{a+b}{2} h

Put in the values you know

390 =  \frac{23+29}{2} h

Add

390 = \frac{52}{2} h

Divide

390 = 26 * h

Divide both sides by 26

15 = h

The answer is 15km

Hope this helps!
