Answer:

TGCATCGAT

TGCUTCGUT

Explanation:

DNA is made up of four nitrogenous bases namely; adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine. These bases compliment each other to form base pairs

Base pairs occur when nitrogenous bases make hydrogen bonds with each other. Each base has a specific partner: guanine with cytosine, adenine with thymine (in DNA).

When sequencing with RNA adenine is then paired with uracil as RNA does not contain thymine

Frederick Griffith made a scientific discovery in 1928. Which best describes
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

Frederick Griffith's discovery on the theory of genetics is credited to his experiment on mice. He subjected them to different strains of pneumonia bacteria. He concluded that there is an unidentified force that leads to the formation of different strains from what the mice were subjected to. This leads to the discovery of DNA, the carrier of traits. Scientist before did not know how the trait is passed on not until Griffith's experiment.

Which stsemen is one of the three jparts of celll theory
Gnoma [55]
Cell theory is the historic scientific theory, now universally accepted, that living organisms are made up of cells, that they are the basic structural/organizational unit of all organisms, and that all cells come from pre-existing cells. Cells are the basic unit of structure in all organisms and also the basic unit of reproduction. With continual improvements made to microscopes over time, magnification technology advanced enough to discover cells in the 17th century. This discovery is largely attributed to Robert Hooke, and began the scientific study of cells, also known as cell biology. Over a century later, many debates about cells began amongst scientists. Most of these debates involved the nature of cellular regeneration, and the idea of cells as a fundamental unit of life. Cell theory was eventually formulated in 1839. This is usually credited to Matthias Schleiden and Theodor Schwann. However, many other scientists like Rudolf Virchow contributed to the theory. It was an important step in the movement away from spontaneous generation.

The three tenets to the cell theory are as described below:

All living organisms are composed of one or more cells.

The cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms.

Cells arise from pre-existing cells.

The first of these tenets is disputed, as non-cellular entities such as viruses are sometimes considered life-forms.

The rate of heat production is increased by increasing muscle contraction by movement is: Shivering thermogenesis Non- Shivering
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

Shivering thermogenesis.

Explanation:

The rate of heat production is increased by increasing muscle contraction by movement is shivering thermogenesis because nerve impulses are transmitted to the skeletal muscles by the hypothalamus which will result to contractions that will produce heat.

Shivering thermogenesis is Contraction-mediated heat production High intensity shivering activates large muscles and produce more glycolysis which is then use as the main source for heat production

What is the primary function of the endocrine system
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

To maintain body homeostasis

Explanation:

The endocrine system consists of the endocrine glands that release hormones directly int the blood. Those hormones bind to their receptors on the target cells and thus regulate their function. The major glands are:

pineal gland-releases melatonin, controls sleep cycle

pituitary gland-control growth, blood pressure, thyroid glands and metabolism etc.

pancreas-secretes insulin and glucagon, control of blood sugar levels

ovaries, testes-reproductive role (release female and male hormones)

thyroid gland-controls metabolism and protein synthesis

parathyroid gland-controls Ca levels

hypothalamus-connects nervous and endocrine systems, controls other glands

adrenal glands-release adrenalin and steroid hormones.
