So for 4 cans of beans for $9, each can would be $2.25 so then we multiply that by 7 so it would be $15.75 for 7 cans of beans

slope (m ) = \frac{5}{2} , y - 1 = \frac{5}{2} ( x - 2)

The equation of a line in ' point- slope form 'is

y - b = m (x - a)( m is the slope and (a , b ) a point on the line )

To calculate m use the ' gradient formula'

m = (y₂ - y₁ )/(x₂ - x₁ )

let (x₁, y₁ ) = (2 , 1) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (14 , 31) ← values chosen from table

m = (31 - 1 )/(14 - 2 ) =\frac{30}{12} = \frac{5}{2}

equation in point- slope form using m = \frac{5}{2} and (a,b )= (2 , 1)

y - 1 = \frac{5}{2} ( x - 2)

Which expression is equivalent to the expression shown?
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

7 to the 12th power. (The last one.)

Step-by-step explanation:

When dividing expressions with the same base you need to subtract the powers. In this case subtract 2 from 14 which makes 12. So your answer will be <u><em>7^12</em></u>.

Given that x2 - y2 = 135 and x - y = 15 , find the value of (x+y)2
kirill [66]

Answer:

x² - y² = 135

<=> (x - y)(x + y) = 135

<=> 15(x + y) = 135

=> x + y = 135/15 = 9

=> (x + y)² = 81
