Answer:

x=7

z=74

Step-by-step explanation:

So this is a multistep problem.

The thing you would want to do first is take the the angles on the bottom and left and add them up. This will get you to 180 deg because two angles next to each other that are formed by the crossing of two lines will always add up to 180 degrees.

180=<u>12x-10</u>+<u>11x+29</u>

[combine like terms]

180=23x+19

{now solve}

[subtract 19 from both sides]

161=23x

[divide both sides by 23]

7=x

Now that you have found x you can find the angle marked "z"

The way I would do this would be to find the angle opposite of "z" because two angles opposite of eachother are always equal.

12x-10=z

[plug 7 in for x]

12(7)-10=z

84-10=z

74=z

Solve each system by substitution. y=3x+4 y=4x+7
Y_Kistochka [10]

We need to solve the following system by substituition:

\begin{cases}y=3x+4 \\ y=4x+7\end{cases}

To solve by substituition means that we need to isolate one variable in one of the equations and replace one expression with the other. This is done below:

\begin{gathered} (3x+4)=4x+7 \\ 3x+4=4x+7 \\ 3x-4x=7-4 \\ -x=3 \\ x=-3 \end{gathered}

Then we need to replace the value of "x" in any of the two equations.

\begin{gathered} y=3\cdot(-3)+4 \\ y=-9+4 \\ y=-5 \end{gathered}

The solution is (-3,-5).

The school fu fair made $1768 on games and $978 on food sales. How much money did the fun fair make on games and food sales?
ololo11 [35]

1768 + 978 = 2746
because when you add 1768 and 978 it would equal $2746 so the total between the both is 2746 so your answer is 2746
