  • Alternate Interior Angles: They are angles that are diagonal from each other. They are formed by two parallel lines being crossed by a transversal, and <u>are congruent to each other.</u>
  • Linear Pair: Pair of adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect. <u>They are supplementary, or add up to 180°</u>

Starting with ∠2 , <u>∠2 is an alternate interior angle to 113° angle.</u> Since Alternate Interior angles are congruent to each other, <u>this means that ∠2 is 113°</u>

Next with ∠5, <u>∠5 and 113° angle are a linear pair.</u> This means that they are supplementary, or add up to 180°. Using what we know, we can solve for ∠5's degree as such:

\angle\ 5 + 113\text{\textdegree} = 180\text{\textdegree}\\\angle\ 5=67\text{\textdegree}

<u>∠5 is 67°</u>

Which of the following is an arithmetic sequence?
arsen [322]

Answer:

Here are a few lists of numbers:

3, 5, 7 ...

21, 16, 11, 6 ...

1, 2, 4, 8 ...

Step-by-step explanation:

Ordered lists of numbers like these are called sequences. Each number in a sequence is called a term.

3,3,3, comma 5,5,5, comma 7,...7,...7, comma, point, point, point

\uparrow↑\uparrow \uparrow↑\uparrow \uparrow↑\uparrow

\footnotesize 1^\text{st}\text{ term}1

st

 term1, start superscript, start text, s, t, end text, end superscript, start text, space, t, e, r, m, end text \footnotesize 2^\text{nd}\text{ term}2

nd

 term2, start superscript, start text, n, d, end text, end superscript, start text, space, t, e, r, m, end text \footnotesize 3^\text{rd}\text{ term}3

rd

 term3, start superscript, start text, r, d, end text, end superscript, start text, space, t, e, r, m, end text

Sequences usually have patterns that allow us to predict what the next term might be.

For example, in the sequence 3, 5, 7 ..., you always add two to get the next term:

\footnotesize\maroonC{+2\,\Large\curvearrowright}+2↷start color #ed5fa6, plus, 2, \curvearrowright, end color #ed5fa6  \footnotesize\maroonC{+2\,\Large\curvearrowright}+2↷start color #ed5fa6, plus, 2, \curvearrowright, end color #ed5fa6

What is the approximate area of the circle? Use A. 17.6 square inches B. 24.6 square inches C. 35.2 square inches D. 98.5 square
anygoal [31]
There should have been an attached image.

Area of a circle is can only be computed when the radius or diameter is provided.

Area of a circle = π r²

Based on the image I saw, the radius is 5.6 inches

A = 3.14 * (5.6in)²
A = 3.14 * 31.36 in²
A = 98.47 in² ⇒ CHOICE D. 98.5 square inches.
