What we know:
Lot= 21 x 30ft
Perimeter=2l+2w
Want to put 4 corner post and one post every 3 ft

What we need to find:
How many post we need.

Perimeter=2 (21)+2 (30)=42+60=102ft

102/3=34

34 posts are needed.

subtracting 1 from the product of 5 and x gives the same value as adding 10 to the product of 3 and x
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

x = 11/2

Step-by-step explanation:

We would first put it in an equation

5x - 1 = 10 + 3x

We would first add 1 on both sides

5x = 11 + 3x

Then we subtract 3x on both sides

2x = 11

Divide both sides by 2

x = 11/2

This table models a linear function. x −8 −4 4 8 y −3 0 6 9 Enter the coordinates of the y-intercept in the boxes.
adell [148]

Answer:

y-intercept is 3

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given table

x: -8  -4  4  8

y: -3   0   6  9

We can select any two points

x_1=-8,y_1=-3

x_2=-4,y_2=0

Firstly, we will find slope

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

now, we can plug values

m=\frac{0+3}{-4+8}

m=\frac{3}{4}\quad

now, we can use point slope form of line

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

we can plug values

y+3=\frac{3}{4}(x+8)

now, we can solve for y

y=\frac{3}{4}x+3

For finding y-intercept , we can plug x=0

y=\frac{3}{4}\times 0+3

y=0+3

y=3

So,

y-intercept is 3

What is the slope of the line that<br> passes through these two points?<br> (-1, 4)<br> (2, 2)
Dimas [21]

Answer:

-2/3x

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) use the slope equation (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

2.) substitute the points into the equation (2-4)/(2--1)

3.) solve the equation (2-4= -2) / (2--1=3)

4.) the slope is -2/3
