Most coastal areas on Earth experience two high tides and two low tides every lunar day. What is a lunar day? Our days on Earth

are 24-hour solar days, the time that it takes for a specific site on the Earth to rotate from an exact point under the sun to the same point under the sun. A lunar day is a time it takes for a specific site on the Earth to rotate from an exact point under the moon to the same point under the moon. A lunar day is 24 hours and 50 minutes. That means a lunar day is 50 minutes longer than a solar day.

A) 5:10 AM Saturday
B) 5:10 PM Friday

Answer:

C. 5:35 PM Friday There are two high tides and two low tides each day. Divide the lunar day in half. That equals 12 hours and 25 minutes. Hope this helps! I got it right on USATESTPREP, don't believe the other answer, it is not true.

Describe what an enzyme is and how it works according to the lock and key model
Mila [183]
The Lock and Key Analogy of Enzymes and Substrates: Enzymes act as a catalyst in a given chemical reaction (for example, lactase allows lactose to break down into Glucose and Galactose); enzymes lower the amount of energy required to make a reaction occur. There is a key concept to this theory: Enzymes are designed work for only one reaction; there is only one key that fits the lock perfectly. Without enzymes, our bodies wouldn't be able to handle the amount of heat the reactions that occur inside if there weren't any enzymes (or the reactions just wouldn't occur! In the Lock and Key Analogy, the substrate (Lactose in the example) is the "key".

How would a scientist have made the distinction between a unicellular and a multicellular organism in the 17th century(1600s), t
Drupady [299]

Using a microscope

Explanation:

A microscope is a scientific device used for magnifying and studying very tiny features.

It was invented by Anton Von Leeuwenhoek in the 17th century.

 • A unicellular organism is an organism made up of a single cell.
 • A multi-cellular organism is made up of several cells.
 • A cell is a very small microscopic structure.
 • It is usually described as the fundamental unit of life.
 • Due to its small size, the naked eyes cannot see it
 • The invention of the microscope opened up the world of cells.
 • Since they have been around for a long time, distinction of cells would have been made possible at those times using a microscope.
