Area of a circle is πr².  (The formula is easy to recall if you just remember the joke--πr²--no, pie are round!)

So we must calculate the difference of the areas to determine what the horse cannot reach.

As we are given the garden's diameter, we must divide it in half to get its radius.  The rope, of course, already represent a radius.

π25² - π5² = π(25² - 5²) = π(625 - 25) = π600
= 1885 square meters.

What number must be placed in the box in the equation below to produce an equation that has more than one solution: 5u+3(4u-6)=-
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer: the number must be placed in the box is 9

suppose: the number must be placed in the box is x

have:

5u + 3(4u - 6) = -3u -27 + 20u + x

⇔ 5u + 12u - 18 = -3u - 27 + 20u +x

⇔ 17u + 3u - 20u = -27 + 18 + x

⇔ 0 = x - 9

⇔ x = 9

3O POINTS!! AND I WILL MARK THE BRAINLEST ANSWER EVER PLZ HELPP MEEE
AysviL [449]

Answer: Use order of operations (PEMDAS). Answer is 45.72.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, solve inside parenthesis:

(5.25*1 1/5 - 4.5*4/5)

Convert 1 1/5 into decimal. It will be easier. 1 1/5 is the same as 1.2

Do multiplication and division first.

5.25*1.2 = 6.3

Now it looks like: (6.3 - 4.5*4/5)

Convert 4/5 to a decimal: 4/5 = 0.8

(6.3 - 4.5*0.8)

Multiply 4.5*0.8 = 3.7

Subtract (6.3 - 3.7) = 2.6

Now the full equation is: 19.6*2 1/5 + (2.6)

2 1/5 as a decimal: 2.2

Multiply 19.6*2.2 = 43.12

Now the equation is: 43.12 + 2.6

Add 43.12 + 2.6 = 45.72
