Explain how the cohesive and adhesive properties of water are useful in maintaining various life processes. One Life process that shows how the cohesive and adhesive properties of water is useful in maintaining life is how water droplets form on plant leaves. This is because of the water being cohesive, which means it sticks to itself to make a water drop. Then the adhesion of the water to other objects allows this water drop to stick to whatever leaf to be able to be absorbed by the plant. Also how the cohesive properties of water allows for water to be gathered, therefore without this cohesive property the water would not allow it to fill up a water bottle or flow through pipes, or be in human bodies, I.e blood. therefore blood is slightly basic
We can conclude that the solution is an acid buffer. A buffer system is when a weak acid is mixed with its salt. Its purpose is to resist changes in pH when small amounts of acid or base is added.
