The sum of all the angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees. So, because you have the angle measurement of two sides, you can set up an equation to solve for the third side: 60+60+x=180 (do the math and you end up with y=60)
And because all three of the angle measures are equal, the triangle is defined as an equilateral triangle.
