There are 24 hours in a day.
Sleeping 8 out of those 24 hours means a fraction of 8/24.
8/24 = 4/12 = 2/6 = 1/3
So sleeping 8 hours a day means sleeping for 1/3 of the day.

Part a - obtaining conversion factors from unit equality relationships in an experiment you are performing, your lab partner has
DanielleElmas [232]

Solution:

As we given that 1 inch=2.54 cm

then using this conversion factor we can write  28.4 inch=28.4* (1 inch)

and further it can be written as

28.4* (1 inch)*(2.54 cm/1 inch)=28.4*2.54 cm= 72.136 cm

Hence the required conversion factor is 2.54 cm/1 inch as we can see from the above calculation.
