She saves $100.She saves 10% more.They want to know how much they will save after 6 months. Multiply 10% by 6months and you get 60%.Then you multiply the answer of .60 (60%) by 100 and you get 60. Lastly, since you wanna know how much you saved,subtract $100-60 and your final answer you get is that she saves $40.Hope that helped!

Justify each step in solving the equation 6x = 3 (x + 4) by writing a reason for each statement.
BaLLatris [955]
First thing is to multiply 3 by x and get 3x,then 3 by 4 equals 12. 3x+12....6x=3x+12...subtract 3x from 6x and get 3x=12..then divide 3 on both sides and 3x crosses out.. and x=4...this is what I have to say about this..

Write the equation of a line in slope intercept form of a line that has a slope of 1/2 and contains (-4,1)
Delicious77 [7]
The general form of the line is:
y = mx + c where:
m is the slope
c is the y-intercept

Now, we are given that the slope = 1/2.
The equation now became:
y = (1/2) x + c

Now, we need to get the y-intercept. We are given that (-4 ,1) belongs to the line. Therefore, this point satisfies the equation of the line. Based on this, we will substitute with this point in the equation above and solve for c as follows:
y = (1/2) x + c
1 = (1/2)(-4) + c
1 = -2 + c
c = 1+2
c = 3

Based on the above, the equation of the line is:
y = (1/2) x + 3
