You look outside and realize that your grass needs to be mowed. You pick up the container of gasoline and see that you have appr

oximately a third of a gallon left. You hypothesize that this amount will be enough to mow your entire lawn. Unfortunately, half way through mowing your lawn you run out of gasoline. You grumble and think to yourself that the next time you mow the lawn, you hypothesize that you will need to have at least two-thirds of a gallon of gasoline available. How did the results of your lawn-mowing experience influence the validity of your new hypothesis for future gasoline needs

Answer:

My prediction of future gas needs is founded on experimental data and hence increases the validity of my hypothesis.

Explanation:

Experimental data is a term that simply described the data derived through various past experiences or manipulation such as measurement of length or sizes of objects under consideration.

Hence, in this situation, my prediction of future gas needs is founded on experimental data gathered from previous experience and hence increases the validity of my hypothesis.

Any particular time? I guess the most relevant time for this question is early half of 20th century.
I think the event was first world war and some of its consequences (in many countries the monarchy was abolished so people "experimented" with new political organisatons, in Germany the war brought huge reparations which contributed to the deterioration of their economy)

Which of the following is true about racial/minority populations? They are more likely to be insured by their jobs. They are mor
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

They are more likely to be hospitalized for preventable conditions.

Explanation:

According to the lastest statistics by the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2018 there were 27.5 million people in the U.S. without health insurance.

When it comes to ethnicities: 5.4% of whites were without insurance, 9.7% of blacks were without insurance, and 17.8% of hispanics were without insurance.

Lack of insurance means that healthcare is more expensive. People without insurance often put off doctor visits. This may cause the development of preventable diseases to the point of requiring hospitalization.

As minorities in the US are, in percentage terms, more often uninsured than White People, it can be easily concluded that minorities are also more likely to be hospitalized for preventable conditions.

elena55 [62]
You're looking at an ancient sand dune. What this means is that the place used to be like a sandy desert, similar to those in Africa. That is because the composition of sand is mostly silica, which appears in the form of quartz.
