3) 2170/5 = 434

4) 100/2 = 50/2 = 25  Kevin has 25 dollars left  (50 on games, 25 on music)

3 hours = 3 x 60 = 180 minutes
30 minutes practice piano
35 minutes on phone
total = 180 + 30 + 35 = 245 minutes
------------------------
$0.18 x 3663 = $659.34 each person
4 persons = 4 x $659.34 = $2637.36

-------------------------------------
$2170 / $5 = 434 sweatshirts

-------------------------

$100 - spent half at video game store = $100/2 =$50
he spent half of the half left at music store = $50/2 =$25
total spent at video and music stores = $50 + $ 25 = $75

-----------------------------
$0.53 x 4800 = $2544

cost $2544 to mail all

The first term of a geometric sequence is 6, and the ratio (multiplier) is 0.5. What is the sum of the first 8 terms, rounded to
IRISSAK [1]
The sum of the first n terms of a geometric sequence is given by:

S_{n}=\frac{a_{1}(1-r^{n})}{1-2}

Using the known values:
S_{8}=\frac{6(1-0.5^{8})}{1-0.5}
S_{8}=\frac{6(1-0.00390625)}{0.5}
S_{8}=\frac{6(0.99609375)}{0.5}
S_{8}=\frac{5.9765625}{0.5}
S_{8}=11.953125
