The commutative property is what equals the same numbers as the other problem
So your problem is 6+8+7
So you have to make them equal to the answer can be the same, if you use the same numbers that will be equal to the same thing so:
6+8+7= 7+6+8

<u>The commutative property is when you can change the order and it will be the same answer.</u>

<u>6 + 8 + 7 = 7 + 8 + 6</u> would be your answer.

How much material is used
Neko [114]
This question is essentially asking you to find the surface area of the box.
The formula for SA on a rectangular prism is: 2(L*W+L*H+W*H)
L=Length W=Width H=Height

Lets input the information we know:
2(20*8+20*30+8*30)
Follow BEDMAS
2(160+600+240)
2(760+240)
2(1000)
2*1000
=2000

The box will need 2000 centimeters squared of material.

Hope this helps!

Evaluate arithmetic series:-<br><br> Step-by-step answer, please!
lorasvet [3.4K]

Let's see

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow {\displaystyle{\sum^{275}_{k=1}}}(-5k+12)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow (-5(1)+12)+(-5(2)+12)\dots (-5(275)+12)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow 7+5+3+2+1+\dots -1363

So

  • a=7
  • l=-1363
  • n=275

Sum:-

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow S_n=\dfrac{n}{2}[a+l]

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow \dfrac{275}{2}(7-1363)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow \dfrac{275}{2}(-1356)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow 275(-678)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow -186450

Hey guys, I know this is a lot so I am offering a lot of points. I was stumped on this paper, I just need a little help on how t
Llana [10]
So for number one, you would have to divide the number by the one being multiplied. I’ll do the first one and you can do the second one, comment if you need help.
(4)*_=-12 —> -12/4 = -3
Check : -3*4 = -12
The answer would be -3.
For the second one, multiply all the numbers first and find the actual answer.
(4)*(-7)*(-1) —> 4 * -7 = -28 —> -28 * -1 = 28
Then multiply their answers.
Evangelina : (-28)*(-1) = 28
Josh : (4)*(7) = 28

Now check who has the right answer and explain why.

For number three, use the letters and plug in the values that are being given to you.

e —> -e
-e * f = -15
-e * g = 6
f * g = -10

Now solve from there!

I really hope I helped, comment if you have any questions:)
