in milk town sales tax is 8%. if Mia brought a toy for $12.99 and a book for $39.99. how much more is the tax on the book then the toy?

0.08(39.99) = 3.20 --- tax on the book

3.20 - 1.04 = 2.16 <== the book tax is 2.16 more then the toy tax
